SBA selects 15 Wichita-area
business leaders for leadership training program

The Small
Business Administration in Wichita will kick off its new leadership-training
program next week.
Fifteen area
business professionals have been selected to participate in the program, which
is targeting business leaders whose companies are poised for growth.

January about the
Wichita office of the SBA being selected to participate in the
leadership-training program for the first time.
Michael
Aumack, economic
development specialist with the SBA’s Wichita office, says Wichita is one of 27
cities participating in the leadership program this year.
The training
will focus on strategic planning and how businesses can prepare for growth.
Participants also will learn about exporting, marketing and expanding into new
markets, such as those involving government contracts.
It’s a training
course that is spread over 26 weeks. Participants will meet twice a month.
